Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TABO platform at tabo.cards and any associated NFC cards. By using TABO, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TABO provides NFC-enabled smart business cards and a digital profile platform. You can create a public profile, share it via NFC tap or direct link, exchange contact information, and view analytics on your profile activity.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person may not maintain more than one account. You must be at least 16 years old to use TABO.

3. Usernames

Usernames are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to reclaim usernames that are inactive, misleading, or infringe on trademarks. Usernames may not contain offensive or inappropriate content.

4. NFC Cards

Physical NFC cards are sold as-is. Each card is linked to a single TABO account. Cards cannot be transferred between accounts once activated. We are not responsible for physical damage to cards. Replacement cards may be purchased through the store.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use TABO for any illegal purpose
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content to your profile
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
  • Abuse the platform through automated requests, scraping, or spamming
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or security

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you add to your profile (bio, photos, links). By posting content, you grant TABO a license to display it publicly on your profile page and in associated Open Graph previews. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Contact Data

When someone shares their contact information through your profile, you are responsible for handling that data in compliance with applicable privacy laws. Do not use exchanged contact data for unsolicited spam or sell it to third parties.

8. Payments & Refunds

NFC card purchases are processed through Stripe. All sales are final unless a card arrives defective, in which case we will provide a replacement. Digital purchases (themes, features) are non-refundable.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep TABO available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will provide at least 30 days notice before any changes that materially affect your use of the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

TABO is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding a claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your profile will be removed and your NFC card will be deactivated.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
